Docker Sandboxes gives new signups $250 in cloud sandbox credit through October 31
New Docker Agentic Platform signups get a one-time $250 cloud sandbox compute credit instead of the usual $25. Sign up between September 22 and October 31, 2026 to qualify. A credit card is required, but it's only charged for usage beyond the credit, and the credit lasts six months after you claim it.
The briefing
Docker is running a limited-time offer: new Docker Agentic Platform signups get a one-time $250 cloud sandbox compute credit, ten times the standard $25. Each cloud sandbox is a microVM with its own kernel, so coding agents like Claude Code or Codex can install whatever they need and run tests in isolation, and the work keeps going after you close your laptop.
What you get
Anyone who signs up between September 22 and October 31, 2026 (11:59 PM PT) gets one $250 credit per account. A valid credit card is required at signup, and it's only charged for usage beyond the credit. The credit expires six months after you claim it, and anything unused is simply forfeited, never billed. Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value.
The credit covers sandbox compute only. Sandboxes bill by the second from start to stop, and setup, idle time, and retries all count. Model API usage and agent subscriptions are billed separately by their providers.
How far $250 goes
Pricing depends on sandbox size. Micro (1 vCPU, 2 GB) is $0.070 an hour, about 3,570 hours on the credit. Small (2 vCPU, 4 GB) is $0.140 an hour, about 1,785 hours. Medium (4 vCPU, 8 GB) is $0.280 an hour, about 890 hours. Large (8 vCPU, 16 GB) is $0.560 an hour, about 445 hours. XL (16 vCPU, 32 GB) is $1.118 an hour, about 225 hours.
At the Medium size, that's enough for four agents running in parallel seven hours a day for thirty days, or about 3,500 automated fifteen-minute runs.
How to claim
- Open Docker's promo page, sign up for the Docker Agentic Platform, and add a card. New accounts receive the $250 credit.
- Install the sbx CLI (version 0.45.0 or later) and sign in to the same Docker account with
sbx login. - Store your Anthropic API key with
sbx --cloud secret set anthropic(Codex users can usesbx --cloud secret set openai --oauth), then launch Claude Code in the cloud withsbx --cloud run claude --name my-project.
Cloud sandboxes start at 2 CPUs and 4 GiB by default and expire after one hour, when they're deleted. For long jobs, raise the expiration or switch the timeout action to stop before you start.
