Freestyle free plan gives AI agents 200 vCPU-hours of cloud VMs every month
Freestyle offers cloud Linux VMs built for AI agents. The Free plan stays at $0 forever and you can start without a card. Each month includes 200 vCPU-hours, 400 GiB memory-hours, 60,000 GiB storage-hours, and 50 GB of data transfer, with up to 10 concurrent VMs and a per-VM max of 4 vCPU / 8 GiB / 32 GB disk.
The briefing
Freestyle is a cloud VM platform aimed at AI agents. The Free plan is always $0: after you sign in you land on Free automatically, there is no monthly fee, and Free never bills for overage. When you hit a monthly allowance the affected VMs pause until the allowance resets.
What you get
Free includes 200 vCPU-hours, 400 GiB memory-hours, 60,000 GiB storage-hours, and 50 GB of data transfer each month. You can run up to 10 concurrent VMs and keep up to 10 saved VMs. Per-VM maximums are 4 vCPUs, 8 GiB memory, and 32 GB disk — which is also the default boot size.
Free does not include persistent VMs or persistent snapshots, so treat machines as disposable compute and back up anything important elsewhere.
If you later add a card for verification, Freestyle charges $1 USD and then refunds it in full; that step is not a subscription charge. Paid usage only starts if you upgrade to Hobby or Pro.
What it is good for
Freestyle targets agent workloads: full Linux with root, pause/resume, and public HTTPS URLs for apps. Claude Code, browser automation, and short-lived sandboxes all fit.
How to claim
- Open the Freestyle sign-in page with GitHub or Google; Free activates automatically.
- Create a VM in the dashboard, or have your agent create one through the SDK / CLI.
- Stop workloads before you burn the monthly allowance, or wait for the next monthly reset.
