Nous Portal's mystery coding model MissingNo is free for a limited time in Hermes Agent
Nous Research added a stealth coding model called MissingNo to Nous Portal, free for a limited time with $0 input and output pricing. It targets coding and agentic reasoning with a 262K context window; pick stealth/missingno in Hermes Agent to use it. No end date has been announced yet.
The briefing
On the evening of October 10, Nous Research put a new model code-named MissingNo on Nous Portal and made it free for a limited time. It is built for coding and agentic reasoning and is designed to be very token-efficient. The lab behind it has not been named.
What you can use
The model id is stealth/missingno. It sits in Nous Portal's free model list with input and output both priced at $0. The free period is limited and no end date has been announced, so try it sooner rather than later.
You need a Nous Portal account; the free plan is enough to call this model, with no paid subscription required.
Model specs
MissingNo has a 262K-token context window and can output up to about 131K tokens per request. It takes text input only and supports tool calling and structured outputs. Reasoning is always on, and you can set its depth with the reasoning parameter across low, medium, high, xhigh, and max (medium by default).
How to use
- Install Hermes Agent (desktop or CLI) and run
hermes setup --portalto sign in to Nous Portal on the free plan. - Pick
stealth/missingnoin the model picker, or switch in the CLI with/model stealth/missingno. - Start chatting or running coding tasks in Hermes.
