The briefing
v0 is Vercel's AI app builder. Describe what you want in plain language and it builds the interface or a full-stack app, then deploys it for you. Vercel now runs a student program: if you study at one of its partner schools and verify your student status, you get $20 of v0 credits every month for a full year, free.
What you get
- $20 of v0 credits each month for 12 months after you verify, the same monthly allowance as the Premium plan.
- The student program itself costs nothing. New users on the regular Free plan get a one-time $5, so students get four times that every month.
- When the credits run out, generation pauses until the next month's credits arrive.
Which schools qualify
Right now the program covers 15 schools: Stanford, Harvard, Princeton, UC Berkeley, MIT, San Francisco State University, Arizona State University, Georgia Tech, the University of Waterloo, NYU, Grand Canyon University, Northwestern, the University of Washington, Cornell, and USC. You need a valid student email from one of them, and Vercel says more schools are coming.
How to claim
- Open the v0 for Students page and sign up or log in to v0.
- Verify with the code sent to your school email, and the credits are added to your account.
Claim it on the v0 for Students page, and see v0 pricing for plan and credit details.
