DeepSeek API outage gift credit matches your last 7 days of spend
After the DeepSeek API outage on Oct 15, 2026 (08:11–13:04 Beijing time), DeepSeek is returning gift credit equal to your account spend from Oct 8–14. Credit lands automatically, and later API charges draw from the gift balance first.
The briefing
What you get
DeepSeek's API was down from 08:11 to 13:04 Beijing time on Oct 15, 2026. As compensation, DeepSeek returns gift credit equal to your account spend over the prior 7 days (Oct 8–14).
The gift credit is added automatically. Later API billing draws from the gift balance first. Accounts with no spend in that window usually will not receive this credit.
How to claim
Sign in to the DeepSeek platform and check your balance or gift-credit page. The notice says the credit is issued automatically, so you usually do not need a code.
See the DeepSeek platform and status page.
