Google AI Pro includes $10 in Google Cloud credit every month, up to $100 on Ultra
Google AI Pro subscribers get $10 in Google Cloud credit each month, and Google AI Ultra subscribers get $40 or $100 depending on the plan. You claim it on the Google Developer Program benefits page by picking a billing account, then spend it on Gemini API calls and image generation in AI Studio or Vertex AI.
The briefing
If you pay for Google AI Pro, there's a Google Cloud credit waiting for you every month. It comes with Google Developer Program premium membership, which AI Pro and Ultra subscribers get automatically, but the credit isn't applied on its own. You need to claim it.
What you get
Google AI Pro subscribers get $10 in Google Cloud credit per month. Google AI Ultra subscribers get $40 per month on the 20TB plan and $100 per month on the 30TB plan.
The credit works across Google Cloud, so you can use it for Gemini API calls and image generation in Google AI Studio or Vertex AI, or for Cloud Run and Firebase. Anything beyond the credit is charged to the linked billing account, so setting a $10 budget alert in Google Cloud is a good idea.
The benefit belongs to the subscriber only and can't be shared with family group members.
How to claim
- Open the Google Developer Program benefits page with the Google account that pays for AI Pro. First-time visitors need to create a developer profile.
- If you don't have a Google Cloud billing account yet, create one on the Google Cloud billing page. This step requires a payment card.
- Back on the benefits page, pick your billing account for the GenAI and Cloud credit and apply.
- Once approved, the credit shows up under Credits in that billing account. To use it in AI Studio, link the project behind your API key to that billing account.
