The briefing
Grok Bot now has a referral program. If you have never used Grok before, signing up through a friend's referral link gets you a free 2-week trial of Premium on The X Subscription. Premium normally costs $30 a month and includes Grok Bot, with Grok models in Grok and Cursor drawing from the same included usage pool. Two weeks is enough to hand Grok Bot some real everyday tasks before deciding whether to keep it.
What you get
- The invited friend gets 14 days of Premium for free. A credit card is required to start, nothing is charged at checkout, and you get a reminder 7 days before the first charge, so you can cancel in account settings at any time if you don't want to continue. Switching to a different plan during the trial ends it and starts billing for the new plan right away.
- When the friend becomes a paid subscriber, the referrer gets one free usage reset, which restores included usage for the current period. It is added 7 days after the friend's first payment, stays valid for 6 months, and has no cash value. If the friend cancels during the trial, or the payment is refunded or disputed, no reward is given.
Who can join
- The invited friend must be 18 or older, must not have had a Grok or X Subscription trial before or a paid Grok, SuperGrok, X Premium, Cursor or X Subscription plan in the last 12 months, must sign up with an eligible email address, and can be located in any country except China.
- The referrer must be 18 or older, live in the US, have a paid Premium, Super or Ultra individual plan on The X Subscription bought on the web with a credit card, and be at least 7 days past checkout. Plus, Team, and legacy Cursor or SuperGrok plans can't refer friends yet.
- Subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play don't count. Start the trial from the referral link and pay by card on grok.com.
How to claim
- Ask an eligible friend for a Grok Bot referral link. They can copy it from the gift icon (top right of any chat on mobile, bottom left on desktop) or from grok.com/dashboard/referrals.
- Open the link, sign up, add a credit card to start the 2-week Premium trial, then download the Grok Bot app and start using it.
