HeyGen Voice Turbo text-to-speech API is free through November 30, no card needed

HeyGen made a free version of HeyGen Voice Turbo, its fastest voice model, and API calls cost nothing through November 30. Turbo ranks first on the Artificial Analysis text-to-speech blind-listening leaderboard, ahead of Qwen-Audio-3.1 and Eleven v4. If you want voiceovers, audio content, or speech in your own app, this is a good window to try it for free.

What you can use

• The free model is heygen-voice-1-turbo-free. It uses the same voices behind HeyGen videos, with faster generation.
• You can use HeyGen's public voices or clone your own voice from a single recording. Creating these instant voices is free during the preview.
• Professional voice clones aren't included and need the paid heygen-voice-1 model.
• Free capacity is shared, with no uptime or latency guarantee. When it's full, requests return 429, so retry a bit later.
• A HeyGen account and an API key are all you need, no credit card. The free period runs through November 30, 2026.

How to use it

1. Sign up for HeyGen and create a key on the API keys page.
2. Call the text-to-speech endpoint POST /v3/models/audio/tts with the model set to heygen-voice-1-turbo-free and pick a voice. You get back a link to a WAV file.
3. When you're ready for production, switch the model name to a paid model. Nothing else in the request changes.
