The briefing

What you get

Daytona is a cloud sandbox platform for running AI agent code. Isolated environments spin up in milliseconds and are billed per second. New accounts get $200 in one-time free compute, granted in two parts: $100 lands once you verify your email, no card needed, and another $100 arrives when you connect your first credit card.

The free credits cover CPU sandboxes only and can't be used for GPU sandboxes. No expiry date has been published for them.

How far it goes

vCPU costs $0.0504 per hour and memory $0.0162 per GiB-hour, with the first 5 GiB of storage free. A 2 vCPU / 4 GiB sandbox works out to about $0.17 an hour, so $100 covers roughly 600 hours and the full $200 about 1,200 hours. That's plenty for agent coding tasks and test scripts.

How to claim

  1. Sign up on Daytona. Google sign-in works, and a personal Gmail passes email verification.
  2. Verify your email to get the first $100 in your wallet.
  3. For the second $100, connect your first credit card on the wallet page.

Once a card is on file, any sandbox still running after the credits run out is charged to that card, so stop sandboxes you aren't using.

Full details are on the Daytona pricing page and in the billing docs.
