OpenCode Zen just added Exo Free, a reasoning model billed at $0 for input and output, with about a million tokens of context, image input, and tool use. It is free for a limited time with no end date announced yet, and requests during the free period may be used to improve the model.

OpenCode Zen added a free reasoning model called Exo Free (model id exo-free) on October 6. Anyone with a Zen account can call it at no cost.
What you can use
Input, output, and cached reads on Exo Free are all billed at $0. It handles about one million tokens of context and up to roughly 131k output tokens per response, accepts images, supports tool calls, and runs with reasoning effort fixed at high.
It is free for a limited time, and no end date has been announced. Requests made during the free period may be used to improve the model.
How to use it
- Open OpenCode, sign in to Zen, and switch to Exo Free with
/models, or set the model toopencode/exo-freein your config. - For API calls, use the Zen endpoint
