What you get
Kiroween 2026, Kiro's annual Halloween hackathon, is now open, and registered participants can request 4,000 free Kiro credits to build their project during the submission period. It's a one-time grant per person, with no top-ups.
Submit your credit request by Tuesday, December 1, 2026 at 12:00 PM PT. Approved requests get a credit code within 48 business hours. Redeem the code by December 4; redeemed credits expire on December 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT.
Who can enter
Individuals at the age of majority where they live can enter solo, in teams of up to three, or on behalf of an organization. Residents of Italy, Australia, Brazil, Argentina, Indonesia, the Philippines, Russia, Quebec and a few other regions are excluded.
Only new projects started on or after October 30 are eligible. Submissions close December 4 at 2:00 PM PT, and the prize pool is $100,000.
How to claim
- Register on the Kiroween 2026 hackathon page.
- If you don't have a Kiro account yet, create one, then find your Kiro user ID. If you sign in with AWS, have your AWS account ID ready.
- Fill out the Kiroween 2026 credits request form and wait for your code by email.
- Sign in to Kiro, open the credit code link to redeem it, and the credits show up on your usage dashboard within a minute or two.
